Have To Vent Against Idiots Flooding The Aliens

<div class="IPBDescription">Stay on marines if you want to be l33t</div> My god! I originally wanted to play marines, but started playing aliens before 1.01 because I am an idiot and like to support the underdog. Every CS moron would go marine because they can wear HA and spam GLs and kick alien butt. Playing the aliens meant you needed to be dedicated, smart and work well as a team. This alone converted me and I became a hardcore alien fan.

Now with the 1.01 patch, these same l33t players seem to think that aliens are somehow invulnerable and now flood the alien side. I don't mind a new player who is willing to put in some effort and simply needs to learn the game, I am happy to point out the features and tactics, it's the absolutely clueless individuals who only joins the aliens so they can become onos and 'pwn' the marines who gets me so angry! I usually play as a gorge in the first half of the game to build the hives and defenses and then switch to lerk/onos for the endgame. It's frustrating as hell to see these l33t kiddies use all those hard earned resources to go onos and get killed by a couple of marines using lmgs.

The quality of the alien game has really gone to hell in the past few days. Hopefully these idiots will realize they suck no matter what side they play and go back to camping with the AWP in CS.

There, that felt much better!

    1) Many more intelligent players play CS than NS. This is by virtue of the fact that CS has attracted a player base 20 times larger than NS has so far.

    2) Many more stupid players play CS than NS. This is by virtue of the fact that CS has attracted a player base 20 times larger than NS has so far.

    3) Aliens don't share resources, therefore, they waste resources for no one but themselves.

    4) It's a fact: the more you make fun of Counter-Strike, the cooler you are.

Hobbes is right on his first two counts. It's suprising how many people think whatever experience they have on their server is universal to all servers, all players, and all games.

While alien resources are individual, its still a team effort, so one idiot wasting his resources is weakening the entire team, and the individuals that compose it.

Making generalizations about CS and CS players is fine, if you find it acceptable to say all women are stupid and vain, or something similar. An important realization in life, one step to maturity, is realizing that your personal experiences and conclusions aren't true for all people. Apply this concept to your views on CS, NS, newbs, and make some growth.

    On the resources issue...
My understanding is that the personal resource level depends upon the number of hives(33/66/100). Any resources you recieve over this limit is put into the general resource pool. Once you use your resources if the general pool has any resources in it, you get them. This is why (sometimes) you can get the resources back so quickly in the end game as there are lots of resources in the resource pool.

Fascinating - I'd like to know if this is true or not. I'm afraid the manual doesn't go as in-depth as technical gameply like this.

The resource jumps I got when I was a gorge, early game, was from other gorges who evolved down. Atleast I think so...

I dunno if gorges rp's over 33/66 get lost when they die, or distributed to thier team.
