I agree with Redford (That's Redford, right? don't feel like checking down) If it happens be happy, if it doesn't just wait it out.

By setting a "release date" for something, it means you have to tidy everything, make sure it looks good, post an installer and get the word around.
Then, comes the bugs.
Just after you release it, you realise you left in an enormous bug.
Quickly you fix it, and release it again.
Uh-oh... more bugs..
And it keeps going.
As for websites, anything could happen, dead links, incorrect scripts etc...
Release dates mean nothing.. Anyone remember when Half-Life2 was supposed to be released on 30th September 2003? Its now been a year since then and no Half-life2. (apart from pre-loading, and according to my sources isnt the full half-life2).
