<div class="IPBDescription">Why...?</div> The NSGuides are the official group of individuals who strive to help NS and its players. Most people think we are only here for new players, but it is our goal to help the entire community. Comprised of experienced players that have genuine feelings about helping out.

We recently hosted our bi-weekly training session. This was after going through 2 1/2 servers , <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> before we actually got started. We are looking to get a good public server (US) and have it be a nice place for NSGuides to go and hang out, teach , ect. We would also appreciate a private server for functions such as the training sessions.

    One of the servers is going to be used for combat, so we decided to add a plugin (the others were removed due to crying and need for being offical).

    I've already suggested it be set to 12 maximum, and if anyone was on the server tonight there was a heavy guide presence the entire time, and it will stay that way pretty much for now on. At one point the entire server had "earned" icons, from constis to pts, and was a boatload of fun until we started load testing. I hope that within the week it becomes populated with newer players as well as the competitive players we had tonight.

    If you're going to have plug-ins you should get one that limits the aliens traits to one movement, one sensory, and one defensive trait. If the intent is to teach new players, teaching them how to play a six or a nine trait fade will not really help them in real NS. In fact, it will do quite the opposite. =]

    Yes, because we all know, you get 10 upgrades in NS. The point of combat is fun and learning. Get more upgrades, learn how they are used while having fun.

    I have yet to learn a single thing from combat...

    this community needs a single good ns server "for everyone" were ones opinions do not interfere with the game mode. That means no reserved slot kicking... But everyone is so focused on having their little private social gatherings to be able to post on these forums on how """""great"""" the players on their server are or how much fun playing at that server is.... Everyone just forgot that the game was supposed to be fun anyway on any server....

    Now i remember why competitive play & pugs are so much better then pub play with drama +++++++.

    Pfft. I personally thought once Jojo had explained it was a good idea. I'd put it back on(unless you would replace it with the one ability per type for movement).

    Also, I would reccommend "Intermediate" sessions to teach NS classic, if the server is dedicated combat.
