I was thinking about picking up KOTR for like 15 bucks, but I wanted to know what other good games are out that are fairly cheapish. I was thinking about maybe spending a little more on Rise of Nations.

    Rise of Nations is pretty awesome. It supposedly had good multiplayer too, but I never got around to trying it. I just stop playing it for no good reason, then when I feel like playing it again, I'm hooked again for another week. Endless cycle really... It's <i>that</i> good.

    rise of nations IS good. Kotor is excellent too.
    You can pick up Aliens versus predator 2 for 20 bucks though. Its Tons better than the movie, and takes place in the <i>ALIENS</i> era. Great feel.

    Homeworld and Homeworld: Cataclysm are a must tbh

    I picked them up on the cheap a few years ago thinking they looked alright an I would give em a try man they blew me away...great storyline and amazing gameplay.

    AvP2 is awsome yeah but I can't get it to work since the newer Nvidia drivers make it crash just after I try an load it up..... <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I can roll back the drivers to get them to work but it needs such old drivers that im concerned that performance on newer games might be affected.

    Kotor, Freedom fighters, and Homeworld all mentioned above... Homeworld 2 is also a must if you like Homeworld... Armed and Dangerous is good for a fling. Freedom Fighters I think you can get at GameStop for 9.99 if they still carry it. Ridiculously good value.

    And SERIOUS SAM! First and Second Encounter. Must haves.

    Mech Warrior 4: Mercaneries. You need a Joystick with z-rotation and throttle control to enjoy it though.

    I'd have to go with homeworld. Homeworld is the ultimate underdog. You may not think it is, since it had a pretty big following, but it deserved 4 times the following. Homeworld 2 keeps to the tradition. Although isn't as awe inspiring as the first. Get both, Homeworld 2's visuals are awesome.

    Try Phantasy Star Online. I enjoy it much and I'm pretty sure that its cheap becasue it is a fairly old game.

    **I believe that it was on Dreamcast then was ported to the PC.

    Haven't tried it yet. But my friends without joystick always bitching about the controls. Still the game itself is superb! And multiplayer is extra fun. The biggest problem is that there are only x-treme 1337 players left that are hard to kill. But if you did the solocampaign you should get them.
