<div class="IPBDescription">just a simple yellow·to·red gradient</div> the differences between this and the original are somewhat negligible (smoother gradient; removed "white"), but personally, i prefer this to the default.

    Sweet dude, these actually make sense. Everybody knows explosions are firey coloured, not white ^_^.

    Mind you what are the siege cannons? Shockwave, Exploding Cannonball/shell?

    most likely not a shell, it goes through walls...
    some sort of nanite gun <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
    they crawl through the walls and jump onto the hive, like little suicide bombers

    Old manual says in distorts gravity to fire stuff through walls <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> I know hopelessly vague. Basically the damage hits the structure and the gravity-flippyness field- turns the aliens organs and such into mush. <!--emo&::siege::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/siege.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='siege.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::siege::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/siege.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='siege.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Wow, that might be my problem!
  • l0tusl0tus Join Date: 2004-09-07 Member: 31492Members
    more than likely, heh. still, i had problems with mine because apparently NS colors the sprites or something automatically for the marines, because mine would work fine for the aliens, but the palette would be screwed for the marines... <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I've changed the 'Pain' sprites before, and I don't recall them being affected by the team you're playing on. I'll take a look into it later today (if the solution doesn't surface first).

    im not seeing a 640_pain.spr file in my ns/sprites folder... are we creating it alone or supposed to be overwriting an old file?
  • BAshhBAshh Join Date: 2003-08-26 Member: 20222Members, NS1 Playtester, Contributor
    creating it i believe, it uses the old half life ones, i'm almost sure. so no need to have another copy in the folders <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
  • l0tusl0tus Join Date: 2004-09-07 Member: 31492Members
    indeed, NS uses the half·life defaults. you can use wally to pull them out of the .pak file. i dunno how to extract from those steam files...

    <a href='http://countermap.counter-strike.net/Nemesis/' target='_blank'>GCFScape</a> can help you with that.
