<div class="IPBDescription">It's True, Really I swear!</div> Plenty of time on pubs I see people quitting when their team is losing, be it alien or marine. People don't like to hang around for the Coup de grace. Then the short handed team starts screamin bloody murder "TEAMS TEAMS TEAMS YOU **obscenity** FAGS!". Why bother switchin? In 5 mins the map will be over and new teams will be picked. Just let it end!

I have noticed things like that. I usually drop to ready room if we get a rush-loss.
NS needs an auto team balance and/or JUST the random team door.
My suggestions is to wait until one team has a 3 person advantage(2 isn't too horrible) and then switch the person on the bigger team who's been playing there the least amount of time. That way you'll hopefully get someone who just joined, or who switched from the other team, and they won't have gotten too attached to the team they were on. Nothing's failyproof, obviously, but at least unbalanced teams won't put the nail in the coffin of the losing team halfway through the game. I get the distinct feeling sometimes that a comeback could have happened on the team that lost if only all their players had stayed in the game.
Whatever you do, DON'T switch players based on their score or just randomly. It's unrealistic to expect someone to be willing to switch away from a team which they helped bring to victory in order to try to bring the other side out of the gutter. The two dumbest autobalance systems I've seen are switching the highest scorer and switching the lowest; the highest one is obviously doing well on that team and won't be happy to be switched out, and the lowest is most likely not very good and won't do a lot to help the other team make a comeback.
