Yep, there was a thread about how terrible AvP is back when it first came out. I agree.

In all honesty, AvP wasn't as bad as i expected, but that's not to say it wasn't a steaming bag of shite, however.

The Predators were too weak, i mean, two of them were taken down by a single alien. The Xenos are fighting for survival and such, the Predators are supposed to be a powerful race of exceptionally skilled hunters, even if they were young hunters, i still feel they should have stood more of a chance than that.

They also seemed exceptionally beefy. Not fat per se, but extremely big and muscley, they lacked any speed or grace, which sucked.

The main thing that got me though was the whole buddy-buddy thing with the last Predator and the last human survivor. Sure, she killed a single xeno, whoop-de-f**king-doo, he still would have taken her head for polishing, let alone let her tag along.

Oh that was the tip of the iceberg. As my cousin, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

And yes, the predators were all a bunch of little schoolgirls, found in a fight, in my opinion. Took their ferociousness away completely. And the ridiculosously long 'wristblades'? Wth? I mean... Predators are supposed to have some honor rules. I dbout it's great honor to hack and slash with a 2 meter long blade.

And the super-strong-yet-light predator blades from 1 and 2 dissapeared. In Avp, they melted by touching the acid. Ha.. Ha.. Ha...

As you can see, my favorite species are the predators, from these movies. But that doesn't mean I'm particularly in favor of one of them. It's just that this movie messed up just about everything it could. And more!

    Grrrrr...

EDIT: What I particularly hate with these new movies are the "awesome-new-additions", like the stupid sound of the queen or the aliens.. Or predators, for that matter. They all sounded alike to me. Like a zoo. Bah.

    I like the SeaLab 2021 episode where they joke on that movie... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Anyways I think the movie really did great with one thing:

blackening the names of three of the greatest SciFi horror films:
    <i>Alien
Aliens <-- inspired NS and StarCraft
    Predator</i>

i made a small 4 minute movie as a spoof of it with my avp mcfarlane figures. It has the elder predator jacking off, and jar jar. It also has paul anderson as buzz lightyear. It bashes everything wrong with the movie. The sad part is, no hosting.

Its like Final Fantasy:Spirits Within imo (for me) although I haven't seen AVP, you just expect it to be good based on previous production/products, but still a let down.

Still I wanna see it (rather not pay though)

*now that I think of it..'Open Water' was awfuL! I left near the end of the movie to catch the bus home...

Wow, the Predator gets owned in like every single fight with the aliens except maybe 3.
I didn't watch the end, by the way. At the time where the Predator was like letting that woman live, and letting her follow it, I just left my cousins to watch it, and went to get a drink.
After a while I come back, and freaking they're practically kissing each other. This movie sickens me. ):
