<div class="IPBDescription">NS screws up gamme for all HL and mods</div> I have a TNT2 video card and an old Sony Trinitron Multiscan 15SX monitor. I believe it's because of the monitor that half-life is always way too dark on my computer. (P3-700, Win2k) I use my video card's colour correction to set my gamma higher whenever I play anything on the half-life engine (In this case CS).
Each and any time I run NS, it automatically resets my colour correction to the hardware default. If I alt-tab out and change it back and then return into the game, it resets it back to the default hardware specs again. After that, until I reboot, any time I load half-life or CS, even if I uninstall NS, the problem will persist.
I believe whatever the problem is, it's in the client.dll file because just having this one file in the NS directory and connecting to a NS server creates this problem. (Alas, NS doesn't work without the file)
I would love some help on this since at the moment I CAN'T SEE A DAMN THING IN THE GAME. At most times, my monitor may as well be turned off because that's what I see, a black screen.
