Radio Commands

okay.. there are already radio commands.. but i think
for example when we ppl say "need medpack"

i think there should be a msg in game telling the name and locatoin..... so it is easier..

ie:

JOHN DOE (Stability Monitoring): Need Medpack

that way the CO can find them easier... or a person wif a welder...

and u dun even get wut aliens say.. so give a msg too <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Well the commander can use his "jumpkey" in order to get at the soldiers loaction.
But yes it would be good to have some sort of location variabel like %h and %a. But this a lot of people already said.
Non the less it would be usefull *g*

I agree its very hard for the commander to keep track of everyone on his team, especialy if it is a big team. And even if he can just press jumpkey it would still be better if the radio said where you are.

From my experience, the jump key is nearly useless. I played several games as commander, and jump key only took me to the last message 10% of the time. Many times it sent me to a place where there were not even any players.

The jump key is the key you press to jump.

Uh, no... maybe you just couldnt' see the player? or the player killed? or the player moved?

sometimes it goes like that... but it never takes you to anyplace that's not called.

I thought of that, and it can account for SOME times the jump key fails. But when it fails 9 out of 10 times, something is wrong.

It also takes you to any place there was a comm message. Things like "our base is under attack" (at one of your resource points)

Yeah..I wanna know how to set waypoints too. Someone told me to click on a marine then right click on the location but that only works like 30% of the time for me.

Yeah, waypoints are buggy, but they work more often than that.

there definately needs to be a need backup command, soo many times i've needed that, i also think it would be cool if the need health command changed depending on how much health you have, so if your in the red its like "Gimme some freaking health now, im dying here" and in yellow its a casual "Need medpack" or something.
