<div class="IPBDescription">hmg lmg pistol parasite</div> Tried to get a good aim reference and definition of the lmg and hmg spread at the same time without blocking visibility too much like the defaults seem to do. I think its cool at least <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

screenshot is in the zip, sry about that but its a tiny download so you should get it anyway <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/nerd-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> , the alien one is like the pistol one but orange/yellow.

They're cool. They are, how do I say this? Non-obtrusive.

    oh no I made a mistake with the parasite crosshair <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I failed to notice that the original parasite is 128 pixels (why 128x128 for a 100% accurate attack? can you blame me for forgetting?). But it is my mistake im sorry you guys who tried it before I noticed, probly pretty **** wondering why parasite is broken.

if you got the file before I noticed the error you can just open your ns/sprites/weapon_parasite file and change all the 128 to 64.

The weapon_ file with that change in it is also now included with the download.

You're forgetting something else, Parasite is not the only weapon that uses xhairalien, so you're going to have to fix the weapon text file for another weapon as well... <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Arg good point. Ive been changing halflife crosshairs for like 3 years and every other time I have used a custom name and weapon_ file. The one time I thought this would be more convenient for other people... boy did that bite me in the ****.

spikegun umbra spore and parasite are now all included, third try is a charm maybe?
  • VerthandiVerthandi Join Date: 2002-12-12 Member: 10687Members, NS1 Playtester
Yup, that should be all, except the 'Spikegun' is no longer used, so it's not really needed. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I must ask: Are these spread specific? I've got ones that are already, but it looks like you were going for the same thing.

I was going for that yes. It might not be perfect to the pixel but I think I got them close enough for government work.

You never know <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> the code is still in so you can give yourself the spikegun with sv_cheats enabled, I was doing that the other day. There was also a plugin to enable spikegun on the lerk in standard ns, don't know if many servers are running it now though.

They're pretty nice, just a bit too big for my liking.

Odd.. when i replace them, they just stay the same as my old ones..

And yes, i'm extracting them to my ns/sprites folder.

Were you already using custom crosshairs?

The 3 marine ones assume you are using the default weapon_ files

Does your issue extend to the alien weapons as well? If so I don't know what the problem could be.

Although this weapon is no longer available there is a very popular plugin out there which enables it for B5.
