I just switched from the 56.72 (?) drivers to the 61.77, and seem to being okay. Haven't noticed a real increase, but then again haven't seen a decrease either... My monitor maxes at 80 hertz at that res and color depth, so yeah I capped my FPS at 80. I will get 60-80 FPS staring at a wall, or an inactive scene in NS, and drop to 30-40 when the action starts up and I start firing. So far I guess the 61.77 drivers are okay, *shrug* just was hoping for a bit of a boost.
Just noticed your config Sexy_Tool, and seeing as how most of those are sound based commands (if I remember, it really doesnt matter for a multiplayer game as most of them are locked) and the only commands worthwhile for FPS is the cl and gl commands, most of which are default, I have come to the conclusion that you hack as I have superior hardware and software, yet you get a better FPS than me. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I strongly recommend the people with FPS < 40 try out the 45.32 or 29.42 versions. They most likely should alleviate the problem (or 44.67p Starstorm if you can find a workable download).
Edit : Or if those don't work with FX cards, the 56.xx Starstorms.
Yes, the FX's are REALLY that bad ^^ And Vash, i don't think that those commands are default for NS.
