I'm not aiming this at the forumers directly, but I'm pretty much done with Natural Selection because of jerks. Whenever the situation gets rough though, I try to make the best of it.
Like this one time when a gorge single-handedly took down a few marines. He just bragged with a classic "OWN'D!". Our team was irritated quite a bit. I just joked with a hearty "And for no reason other than eating noodles, MSG'D!" (They knew I was having lunch)
Or this other time, a marine took out the same skulk again and again. That player got angry at that marine and just said "Watch, I'm gonna take your gun, shove it up your *insert grandparent's orifices here* and **** them with it." So I just said, "Why don't you just do what all the other old people do? Use a cane! ". Well, you get the idea.
Searching through dozens of servers and games, I finally found a server that had people who wanted to have good, clean fun. That was the only server I played on all day. Until this one game and the last, I just.. couldn't. There was a marine who told everyone not to kill him because he was going to try something. I took a quick glance at his name which started with Tyr (Don't remember the rest 'cuz of ADD). I was tagging along with this one skulk and we came across some marines. Then the commander started spamming med packs and ammo. One of the marines just pulled out his knife and started running towards me so I attacked him instinctively. The other marines took me down soon after. Everyone allowed me to enlighten myself, in their own way , that I just killed one of the devs. Turns out the dev was Tyr. I made some poor excuse and managed to utter sorry at an ungodly hour. Considering that I most likely messed up something important, the casual apology wasn't enough. As I respawned, I was about to ask him if I could help out in anyway or if he wanted to take pot shots at me for the rest of the game. Wanna know what happened instead? He came from behind and killed me with a pistol before I finished typing. In some sort of childish game of "Assert Your Dominance", he told everyone that he was just checking to see if it was me. Out of anger I just told everyone something (which I now regret) and left. I'm not the brightest person in the world, so I humbly apologize. I'm probably making this story sound bigger than it is too.
It's the small things that really get to you, you know? Just came here to get a bit of cheering up due to personal problems I'm dealing with right now. I hope I haven't depressed anyone because that's not my intent. We're all gamers right? You're sharing common interests everytime you play with other gamers and I envy that . Respect your fellow gamers. It makes sense to use the time you have left to make yourself truly happy and those you care about. As for me, I'll go share some quality time with a few captains and Pikmin.

Also on a serious note, if I were a dev I'd love seeing opponents use an uncommon or all-out-off-the-wall unheard-of strategy to completely maul my team. It provides insight to new, varied strategies that could spice up the game, but may need encouragement through changes to become more common. (Or foreshadowing towards a strategy that will soon be overused because it's so successful)
Parasite rushing does not work. Ever.
