Ns Crash

<div class="IPBDescription">Not really sure, but haven't seen before</div> Here's the deal, the crashed in the middle of a combat, here's the game specs:
Server: #yo-clan | www.yoclan.com [Combat Only] Beta 5
Gametime: 24 min
My team: Marines
Lvl: 10
Map co_daimos
Gear: lvl 3 armor/weapons - HMG - catalysts - resup -
Situation:
I just came out the phase gates, and started fighting an onos.
after a few seconds into the fight, the game stopped, screen, sound, everything.

Alt tab worked, steam worked, so only the game itself crashed, not my pc or steam.
Never had this before.

System specs:
Amd A64 3000+
Ati radeon 9800 pro
1024mb corsair pc 3200
i don't think the rest is important

I don't know if this can be redone, for it seemed kind of random.
But i've never expierienced crashes in b4, and my pc doesn't crash easily, it's very stable.

    We expect rather ripe bug reports in the beta bugs forum. This is more a kind of bug sighting, and crashes like that can be any old thing outside the actual ns code. So its not because I refuse the idea that ns crashes, but there's no meat on your particular bone for the bug hunters. Therefore, I phase it for further discussion elsewhere.

    ofcourse, no problem, i'll try and find the cause anyway, could indeed have been a glitch in my pc/software or just a random anomaly.

    I think I know what it is...

    If you are fighting an onos in the phase gate are, and these things happen AT THE SAME TIME, it seems to crash:

    onos switches weapon to stomp and attacks
    marine fires ANY weapon
    a marine OR alien phases thru the phase gate on the RIGHT side gate
    and any player within 300 units has JUMPED


    It is REALLY stupid, but when I took a screenshot of the crash, I noticed all those things (as I was the one coming THRU the phase gate when it happened)

    Were you chattering on voice at the time? HL seems to be bad about handling lots of things at once.

    I crash all the time unless I set my cmdrate and updaterate very high (60-100) while talking on my mic.
