Marine Biased Update!

3.0 is Marine biased! The hit boxes are all screwed up on the aliens especially the

There aren't enough on teh lerk . But the fade and the gorge are fine... I haven't played a combat map and had the aliens win! The marines have like super-powered peashooters. It's awkward. Skulks rush and get eatin' alive by these awping LMG's. Please fix this!

People started playing NS and loved it and then you go and change things and some how people just don't love so much anymore... or may it's just me and every other old timer that quit...

The sad thing is, despite it being a 'minor thing' on the changelog, aliens actually got a far bigger boost than anything marines got. And it's that one single thing - loss of knockback.
It's such a huge change to skulk attacks & marine evasion, and it's not showing up <i>yet</i> until we see a lot of clan games, not pubbing aliens who run in straight lines towards marines.

Skulks are **** weak and now all the ppl who can nolonger use their 3 jump bhop scripts just never go aliens (not that i am at all upset scripts are gone).... Its STAX RINES every game and they win most of the time.
Cant say I blame them either its no fun gorging to get res when u have whor3 just to get an ounce of fun from the alien team. Its sickening for a game when its not fun to do what is needed to win so every 1 just <span style='color:orange'>strike two</span>
My verdict is ALIENS = BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so NS is now just half a game

I want so much to show you how effective just one decent skulk can be in a game, let alone what one good fade would do on your precious CO servers. There are always situations when aliens can own, but in GENERAL (where by general i mean: Being usually the case; true or applicable in most instances but not all) I dont think that it is the case. It takes alot more skill to be a good skulk than to be a good rine. So in general you may have this one good skulk, but u also have SEVERAL (note this down SEVERAL) good marines and this tips the balance in rines favour.
An example of this was a recent final of a clan torny (not beta 5, but I am confident that the beta 5 result would be the same result; due to limited changes to what i would call 'balance related issues') from around where I come from. They are 2 good clans of experienced players the outcome was both clans won their marine round quite easily...
for one ever since 2.0 there is always bitching about trying to get people to gorg, you used to only need one gorg and it used to be fun to gorg...
Constantly respawning Onos and Fades is just impossible for marines to counter once enough kharaa get enough levels.
Marine upgrades, on the other hand, are just not as earth shattering. The onos also costs 1 point less to obtain, and kharaa players can now rotate being a gorge and a combat lifeform between lives, encouraging healing of the hive.
Also, kharaa can progress from lerk to fade to onos without any penalties.
Focus is still rampaging poor LA marines to death, since it only takes 2 focus bites to down any LA/JP marines regardless of medpacks.
Xeno is still blasting marines to smithereens due to it being a smart weapon and 200 damage, which also blasts all marines to death in 2 xenos. By the time marines get to the hive's door by some miracle, a single xeno will knock them all out.
Marine CO upgrades are simply not earth-shattering enough.

NS is still somewhat biased towards marines, especially as games become bigger. But a lot of changes have evened the playing field.
-Reduction of Knockback
-Regeneration Overflows (Elect and Turrets don't do jack to fades now)
-MC gives 25% (Unlimited Bilebomb, Unlimited healing with adren upgrade)
-Onos carapace gives +350
-Gorge Spit upped from 22 to 30
-Gorge Healing upgraded to heal 13+4%, faster healing and damage
-Gorge AP +10
-Cloaking can be maintained much more easily without failing
The Onos needs 100 more HP, it dies with 120-200 armour left with carapace.
However, what did marines receive in return?
-Improved hand grenade physics, throwing.
-Shotgun reticle aligned properly (-> more accuracy).
Only the shotgun has any noticeable change, and clever ambushing will counter it in NS, as well as mass confusion and spores.
In CO, unlimited fades and Onos counter any attempt at aiming properly for more than 5 minutes.

Getting knockback in vents, having onos literally fly from knive swipes, and even then, knockback still makes marines fly.
But, of course, the marines got the cool new back-strapped vacum cleaner.
U can still hear skulks spawn and move so silent RT is not a game deciding factor imo. U can still pretty much tell where hive is by where u meet a skulk on map at start as well.
Outcome of game is still decided too early in a game which is another issue that need fixing

How is it wayyy to weak?
It now has +350 carapace, the higheest its ever had.
