<div class="IPBDescription">...I've been missin.</div> Wow.
Just....wow. I had no idea.
Gaming has totally changed. DOOM 3 scared me before- now I'm like Mesh. I used to have a good idea where someone was in NS: Now I could pistol snipe them blind. I used to scoff at DOOM 3's weapon sounds for the AR and pistol. Now I am in awe of their awesomeness.
There is such a difference between before with generic headphones/speakers, and this. This is just a whole 'nother world of audio verscility. It is so amazing, I can't understand what I felt before this. Its like everything else is obsolete.
BTW: If your looking at these headphones going "But no mic, nevermind 'em"- you can also order a mic that hooks onto your shirt or the cord(I reccommend the cord)- sure, its quite far away, but it heard me with NO PROBLEM whatsoever. When I first had it in, I think it heard me a bit too loud.
I win. I. so. win.

If the mic attaches to the cord, doesn't it move around? Why not just tape it onto the headphones?
One thing that bugs me about headphones is that they don't last terribly long (well not for me anyway).

Well, I can't give a pic(if I can't even get a pic of myself, the headphones would be out of the question).
But as for saying, I'd say their actually MUCH smaller than they look in the picture. the front reaches to about a inch from where my eye starts, and the back aligns with the back of my head. BUT, vertically, they aren't much taller(the speaker part) than my actual ear, maybe a centimeter. And the microphone- its so small I didn't even recognize it at first. But its also awesomely powerful- I think its actually a lazer mic!

I have that same problem - I bought some mid-priced ones and they died in a few months, so I bought some cheap ones and they're lasting forever...
the sound quality is good but the mic sucks <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Those are 4 speakers <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Squpamnaut?
He's got a point...
Is it really 'all that' this surround? Since I'm also pretty impressed what a stereo headset can do on a audigy2 :|
Well, they frickin rock. Okay? Rock. For God's sakes- it friggin echos INSIDE THE ECHOS thanks to a very sturdy building inside(I could feel the sound bounce off the outside of my ear, hit and push back some of the material on the inside, and launch it back at me- a VERY cool effect that I've never experienced till now.
And also- I doubt these are gonna break anytime soon. Just looking at them, the design seems SUPER sturdy. And for gosh sakes, its from cooling product makers- its gonna be stable.
Cheap & nice (I only broke 2 <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->)

I promise they don't.
And these, as I said, are NOT STEREO HEADPHONES. THEY ARE 5.1 SURROUND SOUND HEADPHONES. BOB GOT THE SAME DEAL I DID. YOU WILL <3 THEM.
BTW: Yes, I tried out many headphone pairs before this, and their nice 'n all, but these have some of the heaviest bass I've ever felt, a great quality overall, comfortable, and just....wonderful <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Audigy 2's are as cheap as the headphone/mic combo($60). ZS is only $100-150, depending on loc.

Or you can do what I did and nab an external soundcard for 40$ at Best Buy that supports 5.1 (internal cards are even cheaper, but I couldn't put one in my laptop).

By "get them" I mean in another year or two. Can't spare food money now-days. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Edit: It's 48.99 US for the mic combo at ZipZoomFly, FYi.
