Custom Game Error

ok i installed NS opened half life then activated Ns threw the custom game then i went to server list hit join on the servers and every server i try i get this...

You cannont connect to a server running custom game ns until you install the custom game

    Try going through CS and loading with custom game...

    Same thing happened to me, <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->
    Open ns click costum game it should have so me three crappy mods u havnt heard about.

    Then close ns and oped cs, through cs join an ns server* (SERVER dont go to custom game and then ns before joining a server)

    it should work now and also u can run an ns server through ns itself, to check that its now working to to ns and click custom game thers should now be cs tfc etc... <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Just enter NS through the startmenu, not the desktop shortcut.

    ok, yalls listen to the boy, first off hey aint running CS (lol someany ppl with CS retail)

    and he did open HL not the shortcut, as for whats wrong I have no idea, it is the same error you get if you try to open the shortcut, its odd

    i dunno whats going on...i ran it doing that thing in cs retail with the dummy HL.exe thing then changed the properties of nstr.exe to run off cstrike.exe..that didnt even work still getting the same error..lol i would like to play this game someday..for some reason its thinking i still have cstrike.exe or hl.exe running and keeps telling me to go get the nstr custom game activated...this is when nstr is activated....

    P.S also when i am in the custom game menu i tried to click on NS and hit install..it asked me if i wanted to re-install NS so i hit ok and then it comes up saying...could not locate NSTR on local system.....this a problem...sounds like one...must be one

    M8 u may not want to do this 4 obvious reasons but just try re-installin it! (It will probably make a lot of difference or no diff at all
