When i load up steam (half life and NS have been fully patched) NS doesent show on the "My games" list. Is there a way to get Steam to search for games?
It will show up if you have installed NS correctly, which must not be the case. It should be under "Third party" games, not "My games".
Things to check: Did you run HL or one of its mods at least once BEFORE installing? (It does not matter how long before, as long as it has been done on steam.) Did you run the ns3b1 installer, and not just the patches? If so, did you do so on the steam account you are *USING NOW*?

If you folow these steps properly you will not get client.dll or map.bsp errors.
If you are positive you have folowed them corectly then redownload the installer form a different location.
*There aslo seems to be a bug with, atleast some of, the 4a installers. Try pointing it at steamApps\your@email\ instead of steamApps\your@email\half-life

I must say that im totaly lost, i thought that this guide would help me, everything seemed so clear, i just had to dowload the files that you wrote, and when I should dowload them, I cannot find them i think that the dowload interface i messed up. i just cant find the right files, A perfect thing to do would be if you just linked to one of the mirrors or the mirror interface to each files. cause I guess there is more people then me that have trouble navigating at the dowload page.
