How To Exec Diff Configs In Game

strange, i can do it in other hl mods but in ns it says "couldnt exec filename.cfg"
i had my normal config.cfg that loads when the game starts
i made a rine.cfg and a alien.cfg, thinking i could load either when i join one of the teams, but it doesnt work i just get the "couldt load filename.cfg"
what am i doing wrong?

It works fine for me...
File -> Save As -> X:/Valve/Steam/SteamApps/your@email/Half-Life/nsp/"cfgname.cfg"
.copied and pasted my config.cfg
.renamed it to rine.cfg
.made the changes and then saved
.pasted config.cfg
.renamed alien.cfg
.made changes and saved
i go to console, type exec rine.cfg or exec alien.cfg and it says couldnt open filename.cfg <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Open my computer or any other folder.
Tools>options>view>uncheck the box that says "hide exetenstion of known file types"
Hit apply to all folers.
Then looks at your configs, make sure they do not have two extentions.
Rename the files so they just say "rine" and "alien"
yalls are assuming way to much
Do you have file extensions hidden? (if so, turn it off, follow Hologram0110's directions, this is true for 2K also)
Where did you place said files (rine.cfg and alien.cfg)?
IF they are not in your nsp folder then you have problems (move em there).
and yes they are in my ns folder
