Because body piling up isn't the first thing you're going to change.
I thought it was so that the corpse didn't block hallways etc. Thats why there's no collision, the same with the smaller physics objects, like cans etc. as it would probably get annoying falling over bodies all the time. It's another one of those gameplay over realism things. It would be cool if bodies thrown about from a HE grenade could collide with people though...
I think the bodies SHOULD stack, but you cant move them around. Instead you can simple run over them, or if its really outragous, a simple jump, not a problem.

Its actually not that smart. The only way the CT would miss it is if he is blind and deaf, and the barrel isn't wide enough to prevent the CT from standing next to the barrel and still defusing the bomb.
The only thing I've seen come out of this trick is either the T's getting shot in the back while trying to arrange barrels or them sticking around so long to do it they get themselves blown up. Heh.
lol I'd love to see a little barrel fortress set up right next to the bomb with all the Ts behind it. When the bomb goes boom everything flies and cool ragdoll physics occur.. oh yeah.
I've personally been pondering the implimentation of animation/ragdoll physics into games, assign ragdoll movements to the model's falling patern and and certian limbs, but cause animations to force realistic concious resistance to other limbs and joints. Realistic tourtured looking deaths, no more 'that one last bullet caused a total system shutdown' deaths.

i think it's a blast. the beta plays just like the original, only with all the sweet effects.
i really like the animations too. very fluid. but i'm having problems...
i play it in a lan with sv_cheats on, and when i go to third person my guy gets messed up. he doesn't have a gun in his hands and he runs funny, like the animation is trying to play but doesnt... also, if i jump off a building, i can see the view model hands (the ones you see in first person) directly under me... it's kinda creepy...
anyone else run into this and know how to fix it?

They AREN'T.
I wish idiots would stop spreading these rumors- this beta is dust only, its not a CS beta, its a Source beta.
Yeah, as long as the game is fun, these kind of things can be interesting.
So... is Counter-Strike fun, or is it still in the ogle stage? <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
