    I like the siege weapon with the "rocket" ended shape. Funnily enough that's more than likely to be the shape a sonic based weapon would have, rather than a barrel (perhaps it's to shoot mortars at the aliens in open-field combat? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->). The only problem I can forsee would be skinning it so it *doesn't* look like a weird rocket turret <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Did you know a true minigun / gatling gun only fires out of ONE barrel at a TIME?

    They are rotating in order to prevent barrel overheating, which can lead to jamming and all sorts of sh*t happening... having 6 barrels can fire up to 6x faster than one barrel, because the heat is spread between now 6 barrels, allowing it to disappate up to 8x faster than just one barrel (as 1 barrel is constantly in use, making it difficult to truely disappate heat, having 6 barrels cases 5 of em to NOT be in use at any given time, allowing them to cool further than a slow single barrel gun)


    Just thought I'd straighten you physicly illiterates out...

    For some odd reason i dont think the turret will overheat, or any gun in NS, but i too think that the rotary look is better, make barrels around a camera mabey?

    see i was thinking it could use the hinge in the middle of the turret to bend to fire up and down. it might need a hinge at the bottom of the base aswell tho.

    i was thinking it could be all folded up when its un built.

    When a lerk/skulk goes by fast it'll wip around fast enough to make fall over.. Its not in the game and really wouldnt, but it'd be unstable...

    Edit: Unless it has a base that makes it appear to be welded/bolted to the ground!!!

    hmm that is a intresting idea but for that i have to redesign the whole sentry

    becaus the feet was supost to be the base that has no hinge and give the sentry some balance <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> so that i can use some bones from the avp turret or something like that

    well... its both, it's very clean, but at the same time it's got too many seams, its hard to line up detailed textures around curves when they are on seperate bits of the map, even when they are close together, you have everything grouped well, but you should have made more use of all that blank space and resized everything until the map was completely full, more area per bit on your map = more detail on the texture, keep it up though <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
