<div class="IPBDescription">99 res thingy</div> today i played Origin 4vs4. i was aliens and i got tonnes of res. i put up hive in venti and noticed theres no change on my res meter, still 99.

i wanna ask
1. what happened? bug?
2. what happen when i get 99 res, where are the rest of my res go? other teamates or eaten up by spectators?

    I have no idea about <s>the 'free' Hive issue, but I do know that your share of resources are lost, if your resource pool is already full.</s> anything.

    No, resources overflow now. If you have 99(which is actually 100, only the res counter is bugged and shows one less resource than you actually have), any more res from the <b>resource towers</b> goes to your teammates. RFK is lost though.

    Also, as for your specific situation, well correct me if I'm wrong folks, but since Alien resources are dumped into a temporary pool before distribution, I've always thought that any resources that can't be handed out to <i>anyone</i> are just left there for the first taker, and thus that all of the resources that would have accumulated there before you had built the hive (and thus while you and probably everyone else was maxed out) would have been dumped into your share once you could take it - and thus, the hive would not have been free, but rather, covered by excess.

    yup, the spectators get it and they use it to build oc towers to fight each other.

    yeah it is fursturating, once we locked down 2 hives but the spectators used their res to drop oc every where and eventually they won. that was the first and only time i have ever seen the spectators win.

    it DOES get dumped in a pool and if we ALL have 100 res the next person joining will get 100res or less if the pool became empty while doing so.

    I once used res overflow in an.. odd way.
    I was a gorge, and a JP/HMG was chasing me. So iI dropped 8 OCs, 8DCs and a few MCs to block his shots. yep, 200 res to save a 10 res lifeform.
    Scared the crap out of the Marine though.

    Actually didn't the spectators build a TF, sieges, and an observatory and proceed to scan and blow everything up?
