hmm, looks like they haven't fixed their OGL drivers yet, but they did get some performance gains - it said up to 12% depending on the hardware...but who knows.

Heh, the only 2 games I have installed at the moment.... must be a sign.

They act odd... at certain resolutions, they jumped my framerate from 50.2 to 58.7, but at others they actually slow it down by .2 fps or so. The sad part is, they seem to be giving the bigger jump at the higher resolutions.
Personally, I don't see any point in the Omegas. I've already got my ATi Toolbox installed, so I can overclock and/or set custom profiles from there if I want 'em.
They do more than having utilities for overclocking talesin.

My options for the color tab lack an overall brightness, just desktop and fullscreen apps. NS seems to be the only mod that, for some reason, when I get to the main menu it resets the gamma and everything is darker than doom3.

It's not GPU bound 99% of the time, so yes, weird things affect performance.

An unlisted perk of the 4.8 version: unlike 4.3 through 4.7, 4.8 doesn't give me the "crash when first loading up Knights of the Old Republic" problem.
I just wished they made new OpenGL drivers half a year ago, so buying my 9800pro hadn't screwed up my ns playing career, <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

400$ and not even in stock is a bit much though...
Same.

Mine seems to be crashing randomly now.
