it is not a question of NS suporting CZ, it is if CZ will ever support mods, my guess? Nope, yalls got screwed.

It woulda been smarter to get original HL or blueshift for the HD stuff and then get CZ, like I did (but the HL part came way before anything)

Buts its kinda late when you input your CZ cd key and screw yourself.

But I bet in the future Steam will provide support later. or doesn't it already? cause the only thing I thought CZ didn't do was include DOD thats all?

    Any Steam/CZ owners wanna clarify?

Plus I think you are supposed to install 3rd party mods in to your CS folder not your CZ? or is it the other way around.

Doesn't CZ use steam? Thus you could simply download Half-Life through steam and install NS to there...? Or am I saying something horribly idiotic? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

as far as I can tell (as aparently all CS:CZ Owners are IDIOTS, and never respond!) Is that your CZ Key will not let you download HL, so you have to buy a HL CD Key (you can do this through Steam I tihnk).

Yes and CZ uses a modifed engine, so it WONT support mods.

It's still the half life engine.... isn't it?

You would think so considering you can play cs 1.6 on it.

edit: ok that was stupid i do realise they are 2 'different' games.

one of those ppl who doesnt know the difference between half-life(more like steam) and cs..
  • spinviperspinviper Join Date: 2003-05-08 Member: 16151Members
Well half-life is totaly different from CS. Counter-Strike is a MODIFICATION of HL.

hmmm its totally different, yet its a modification aye.

Thats like saying a Integra Type R is totally different to an Integra.

I regged my steam account with a CZ key. Download Half-Life from the my games list, then run the training course for HL, then install NS.

CWag: You never reged Steam with any othe key?
Cuz if not, then you are the FIRST intelegent person to buy CS:CZ and figgure out to download HL.....

    Oh, and for a clarification.

Mod is a modification to a game.

What we all call mods (NS, CS, DoD etc) are actualy TC Mods (total conversion modifications).
