Like ****.

Go read the doom 3 minimum specs - if you can match them it'll run fine.

Well it'll run fine on minimal specs , but your computer won't support the pixel shaders (direct x 9) effects. Thereby you're missing out on the better experience :/.
It'll play good based on frame rates when you run on low settings, but they strip the better content. I hope this'll help.

~edit it looks fine in low quality, just smaller screen size and no fancy shadows

Somebody needs to add "Asking how well Doom 3 will run on your computer" to the "DOOM 3 WAREZ = ONE DAY BAN" thread.

Will work with those, better than on my propably. Using 800x600 Low i had it ok, except for the start, its a spacious place.

Wow, you got a MASSIVE bottleneck running that vid card. Should run ok still.

CWAG you made me happy. I have a GeFeforce 4 Ti4200 overclocked so i might just be able to run it. 2Ghz Amd, 768Mb DDR 2100 Ram too. Hopefully it should run

I still have my defualt card, an Nvidia 2 or something, 3 years old and I barely get lag running on low.

Running flawlessly on 1024x768 on Ultra.

Runs with a bump here and there when I run 1600x1200 on High.

Bastards..

Looks like I'll be saving my money. Thanks..! Looking foward to Doom3, I hate watching scary movies, but scary games are a whole other story. Now, RE was too much for me... although I was like eight, that might effect something, but I love horror FPS. I've been looking for one for a flipping long time.

Still, I've got a PC gamer magazine that tells me what I should buy for the ultimate Doom3 experience. I'll aim for those.. but any suggestions here would help!

Just run it after having to "alter" my .exe to get rid of the emulation issue that DOOM3 has and it runs like **** on my Radeon 9600 Its all set on low 640X480 and it becomes unplayable when an Imp says "Hi"

I don't understand.. why are people saying how well it ran for them, without providing system specs?

-2 gig ddr ram
-radeon 9800 pro
-800 mhz FBS
-creative audigy audio card

if you want anything else I can look it up for you.

Heh. I was wondering at all the 40-60 FPS things, and why people were saying "Very solid, very good" etc etc... Why is doom3 capped at 60fps?

I'm "inheriting" an intel p4 2.4ghz [or whatever] CPU, 512 ram.. and i will buy a radeon 9800 pro 128mb... that should be fine, seeing as i wouldnt play with more than medium on 1024x768.. or maybe high if it can do it very solidly [in firefights as well]

=] I'm so happy.. it'll be the first good computer I've ever had... Well, this one wasn't too bad, when we got it about 4 years ago... It's a 600mhz geforce 2 mx 400, 256 mb ram.. mwuahaha

your grade point average shall fall by at least 1 point.
• eedioteediot Join Date: 2003-02-24 Member: 13903Members
Probably. My last maths test I raised my normal mark by 20%, and my rank by 60.

Of course, I averaged around 50% and got about 130th in the grade... So that's not boasting much But I plan to keep working at it [like, actually doing my homework and classwork] so I can get 80%, then 90%, then hover around 90%+.

I know there's a very good chance my already pitiful marks will decrease even further... So I'm going to set myself some base rules.

1 - No computer/games before 9pm on weekdays, and bed at 10:30pm.
2 - I can't join a clan.
3 - I can't start/join a mod team unless I already have intermediate skill and competency in the field(s) required! No learning C, 3ds max, texturing, sound, and hammer again, while organising and making a mod
4 - If I haven't finished my homework by 9pm on a weekday, I can't use the computer.
5 - On weekends, I can only stay up past midnight if I'm out socialising [never going to happen]. No computer!

Hehe.

well it arrived at 8am by royal mail (im supprised it turned up at all). Runs fairly well on 1024xwhatever on medium although i'd like to run it on 1152x864 which is what my desktop resolution is.

GeForce 4 Ti4200 128DDR
2Ghz AMD XP
768 DDR 2100

Think im gonna put off buying a new mobo and HDD and upgrade the graphics card, another nVidia for me
