Have you tried going into control panel > sounds and there you can check to make sure you have the proper speaker setup and also you can try reducing your performance settings to see if that helps. You can also reduce your sound quality to Low in game options.

Oh, make sure your sound card drivers are up to date. Are you using anything like Ventrillo? If so may want to look there for updates.

This happened to me, and kept happening to me until i got a proper sound card. I 'think' that NS beta hates Motherboard-fitted audio. Get a ''''Sound-Card'''' and not those lame internal motherboard sound pieces o junk. That fixed mine.

I wonder if ur problem is exactly like mine... do you play for about 5-20 mins then your sound goes bitty? then lagged? then after 60 mins, off?

Mine did. Soundcard fixed it. Any soundcard will do as long as its not motherboard related. Its own hardware in the soundcard slot.

Hey, I got a crappy mobo Soundmax <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif' /><!--endemo--> and never had a problem. Running 3 speaker setup. My setup is just surround sound, not any of the 5.1 or 7.1 surround speakers setups. Full acceleration

    edit: even run a mic.
