    <!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->1) Install Steam.

    2) Play HL atleast Once via Steam (just booting up the training mission will do).

    3) Download these 3 files:
    ns_install_v3_b1.exe
    ns_v30_b4_patch.exe
    ns_v30_b4a_patch.exe

    4) Install NS V3.0 Beta 1 (ns_install_v3_b1.exe) (This should auto install to steam\steamApps\your@email\half-life\nsp, if it does not, move the NSP folder there).

    5) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4 (ns_v30_b4_patch.exe) (point this at steam\steamApps\your@email\Half-Life\ do NOT include the NSP).

    6) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4a (ns_v30_b4a_patch.exe) (See * at bottom).

    7) Search your Hard drive(s) for folders named nsp.

    8) If you have more than one you messed up.  Goto Step 3.

    If you folow these steps properly you will not get client.dll or map.bsp errors.

    If you are positive you have folowed them corectly then redownload the installer form a different location.

    *There aslo seems to be a bug with, atleast some of, the 4a installers.  Try pointing it at steamApps\your@email\ instead of steamApps\your@email\half-life

    Note: This is a file stored on my desktop because I have to use it so many times.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    I tried fileplanet but the file that I get is just called ns_v30_b4_patch. Not ns_v30_b4a... <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Ok I installed b4a, but now I just realized I have a bunch of map files and stuff in my nsp directory, not in their folder, like nsp/maps. What do I do?

    did you try running it?
    did it work?

    try searching your hdd for NSP to see if you mixed up an install some where.

    I ran a search and I've got like a million nsp folders, some of them don't have anything in them, and some do, so what do I do now?

    PS Yes it did work when I ran it but I can't go Gorge in combat, because of that, I can't evolve either.

    read folow and obey.

    this will clean everything up, and install everything in order.

    <b> Slightly More Advanced Steps</b>

    <!--c1--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->1) Search your Hard drive for nsp.

    2) Deleate all folders named that.

    3) Start from step 3 in my guide.

    4) Make sure you are using the properly named files for each step, the file name is listed with the step.

    5) Make sure you point each file at the place listed with the step
    5a) The first one should auto install with no choice of destination
    5b) The second one goes to: Steam\SteamApps\your@email\Half-Life
    5c) The 3rd should probably go to Steam\SteamApps\your@email\

    6) After each install step in my guide (steps 4, 5 and 6) search your hard drive for nsp
    6a) If you find only one folder, and it is located at Steam\SteamApps\your@email\half-life\nsp then you are good to go.
    6b) If you have only one nsp but it is some where else, move it to that location.
    6c) If you have 2 nsp folders, then move the one that is not in that location, over writing all files when prompted.
    6d) Each time you move an nsp folder search your hard drive again for nsp to double check.

    Here ends my Slightly more advanced Guide on how to friken install NSv3.0B4a

    yes, deleate/reinstall is the quickest, and cleanest way of getting NS to work.
