I hope the lovely people on this forum would like to check out my first weapon model i have made. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> Excuse the rough edges as I'm still learning the technuqes used in weapon modeling. Each Glock is 2880 polygons. Yes, a little high on the polygon count. However i'm not sure if this model will make it anywhere at the time being. Take a look:

As well as a good friend of mine, you may have seen him on these boards ( flintlock ) is helping out by starting on a very well done skin.

    turn off the smoothing groups and give us a flatshaded view

    and looks like you put alot of sides into the barrrel and it doesnt need to be a tube because no one will be looking down the hole in it

    My first model was a couple of cylinders, boxes, spheres, and some other.."shape".

    thanks. Just to keep you all in the clear. I do not use milkshape or 3dmax. i use Zmodeler.

    ok first of all close up the barrel just make it a cylinder no one will be looking down the hole seconed reduce the number of sides in the barrel to save on polies 12 sides should be more then enough
    third close up the hole in the slide where the barrel is no one will notice it

    well this model was not nessesarly ment to be used in a game. Since this was my first weapon model. I wanted to show myself that i could create it within a moderate fashion. If i do decide to put this model in a game, or ns for that matter. I will slice off much of the unseen detail of the weapon. But thanks for the suggestions on the model chrono

    models doesn't look bad at all, but i don't really like the skin
    the color is all wrong and stuff
