Anyone here work at Electronic Boutique or is familiar with them? I got 3 games I wanna trade, Battlefield Vietnam, Pandora Tomorrow and FarCry. They have all the discs, all in good condition, FarCry has the book that came in the jewel case. But I dont have the boxes. Will they still take them? Also, I have some PS2 games to trade, good condition and they have the books, but they're ancient. Like Timsplitters and Tekken Tag. Will they take those? Im a poor fisherman and I need Doom 3!

i doubt they'd take it back if you didnt have the box
they <i>might</i> take the PS2 games if you're lucky, but i wouldn't keep your hopes up

consider me the bringer of hope <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /> because I'm under the impression that they'll buy any game in working order, no matter what - they'll just pay you less for them... and if you're talking about really old PS2 games, they may just give you a buck or two =x

I've actually never sold a game, but I do buy them used, and when I buy them used, they're often in non-original packaging with non-original jewel cases, suggesting that someone just brought in a loose CD and they bought it and put it in a new case...

It will be kindas hard to sell them without the box, but if you have the original case and booklet, it might help you.

For PS2 games, they MIGHT take them without the manuals. But you wouldn't really get much from them.

They <i>should</i> take them for store credit. You won't get as much as you would if you still had the original box, though.

I found that EB/Game/whatever rarely, if ever will accept PC games.

Do you have a GameStation near you at all? Because ive found that theyve always taken any kind of game that ive taken into them, be it PC, PS2, PS1, etc etc.

Ok ok, for you EB guys again. From your experiences, I need to know a rough calculation of how much credit im gonna get from my games. Ok, MGS2, Halo, UT2K4, XXI, Onimusha 2, Tekken Tag Tournament and Max Payne 2. All of them are good conditon with boxes and books and the copy of XXI is brand new, not even opened. Please help.

Computer games age quickly. You'll get maybe 5-7 USD each, I would guess. You can go in and ask without completing a sale.

Gamestop > EB, at least for console trade ins. We take literally anything, even if it's a hideously scratched copy of an old PS2 game with no box or manual. I wasn't sure if GameStop was a wide chain, because I would have noted that store in my post. There are several GameStops in my area, and they have great buyback policies.
