Would be to make the be acid blobs of doom shoot back way it use to. 3 fades can take out a grp of humans easy. No matter if you do the math fact is fact. You say skill i say thats fine. aliens was suppose to be master of up close combat not range. give aliens range and you take a edge that the humans really need. Some range is needed yes. but to be able to do blobs of doom everywhere. Then again leave it and when there will be clan matches or vs people will fight over the aliens. Ok here is how it is. Humans have to get cash and save up. Aliens all they got to do is get to hives and bam there ya go. while humans saving up for defs cash for weapons to get better ha and ammo to guard resources while aliens are moving in super fast gaining others and putting up defs. And when we attack theres. here comes the fades defending it. I think the regen change the extra armor fades auto teams nade changes and the aliens off turrets was enough. oh and the resource bug so to speak

This doesn't cost a lot of rps per alien, but it does take a considerable amount of time.

Agreed... Frankly... dying as a marine.. and dying as an alien.. I find the alien more frustrating... We cannot PICK UP our teamates forms and use them after they die.
If we only have 2 hives and we just hit 44 resources? its gonna take a long time before i can evolve to a fade again.
One thing I have noticed.. is that Heavies for the marines ARE NOT being backed up by welders.

But the blast radius of the goo balls of doom still would hurt bad
if your talking about acid rockets... and a fade keeps harassing you, then it's up to the commander to invest on some grenade launchers... attack at the same time, and boom no more fade. lerk umbra may nullify your HMGs to a point, but it doesn't protect against nades. wait for umbra, throw a nade or two, kill the lerk, then go after the fade. nade the barricade and no more problem.
the "oh the commander is so overwhelmed" excuse should stop. sure, most people out there knows the basics of commanding, but it'll take a lot longer to develop sound strategies. you don't master warcraft 3 in a week... what makes you think that most commanders are really going their full potential?
i played against an excellent marine group the other night, and needless to say, our fast expansion, harassment techniques were thoroughly raped. and i'm talking about 1-2 gorgs who knew what they were doing, and proper harassment techniques to slow the marines down. hell, just to give you an idea... not more than 5 minutes after we got 2nd hive up were they knocking on our door. they advanced as a team and rushed our hive, while we were busy destroying their other resources.
alien whine was justified pre-patch due to the resource bug. marines whining about fades is just sad imo. you have CS players trying to command in an RTS... it's just not drop ammo, ha and HMGs anymore.

This marine player was raving/ranting on the mic about the commander was a noob because he didn't give him ammo or the "nade" launcher. When I told him he was playing CS too much, he replied in the CS fashion... STFU NOOB!!!

LOL.......CS players are renound for the "STFU NOOB" statements....
OK, the following score (from a game I was just on, ns_eclipse) was mostly made with me as Fade using acid rocket and marines spamming everywhere with nades, in the Triad area.

I had people do calling me noob on the first day NS was released it was really funny lol. Also if there are alot and I mean alot of defence chambers and some offence turrets near the marine entrance they will really have no chance.
Getting a really really high score with fade is so easy now. at least in v1 it took time to kill with acidrocket making slash useful. now you can kill em easy before you get close, there no point in blink it wastes energy that can be used on 1-2 acidrockets.

I can succesfully take out 2 sgs in an open area with a skulk +lvl3 carapace it was near impossible in v1
