I'm on level 4....I opened the .class file but there were too many friggn boxes so I stopped caring.

Its a lot more complicated then just opening the file in a text editor yet it is still fairly easy. IT IS written in Java and might I add that Java is not like C++ in which it is A LOT more easy to decompile java then it is C or C++.( and a lot more accurate also)

Level 2 source, unfortunately, does not reveal anything of particular interest, except for that classid at the bottom which I am assuming is a bunch of jarble.

I know that's not the password. But it sounds like it's giving out a riddle and then saying "Aw come on, its easy!", except there's no riddle.

And Petco...I dont know if thats the real password, but I am interested in how you could have reached the conclusion that that is the password, seeing as how there is no reference to said password...

The reference isn't in the HTML source, look closer. What is actually housing the suposed username and password? It isn't HTML.

Hrm. The page is in xhtml. The supposed password is in Java. The place where you enter the Username and Password is in Flash.

Im probably looking too deep into your post. You said "look closer" and I spent a good 15 minutes zooming in on the .swf for words or letters. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' />

I tried this a year or so ago, and got up to the seconf visual basic one, and gave up because my head was about to blow up. I'm not designed for programming tasks.

Think it was either level six or seven, but I also think try2hack has changed since then.

That LearnToHack.org site.... the challenges are a joke. The hardest one involved hex-editing a string. Whoo. Finished all of them in less than an hour.

Go to my post on the first page. Hackers Lab is a lot harder, because its more realistic. How often do you think you're going to find a password for a site in a flash movie?
