Why Ban From Commander For Hours?!?!?!?

    When the commander is ejected, hes only unable to re-enter the command console for that round.

    Server ops can change the needed votes if they think the default is unfair.

    15 minutes is an incredibly short time, and if someone really was insisiting on being a **obscenity** commander, then being able to wreak havoc every 15 minutes would be a nightmare.

    That's why it's the whole round, so that even if he does wreak havoc it's only affects one round, and what's one solitary round, really!?

    Hmm.. that with the vote against the commander is something strange, shure, when the commander sux, kick him, but what is when the marines only crie because the commander dont do that what they want? It should be the opposite... but ok, i dont see a better way

    I've been in a game where they vote kicked the commander. But nobody else on the marines wanted to be the commander. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> So they were a litte lost after that.

    yeah, i've had that happen to. Someone kicked me a couple days after release for no apparent reason. Sure I sucked but the game was new. It took more than 10 minutes for a new commander and I left before someone got in because I was **obscenity**. Anyways....

    The COMMANDER ejection thing is one of the things that pisses me off the most about this game. Let me tell you that if a COMMANDER sucks, then he usually takes HIMSELF out of the game. Of course some ejections are fair, however as one poster said, most are just spoiled brats who dont get that shot gun or HMG that they want, nevermind that the COMMANDER is trying to fortify a position and CAN NOT switch back and forth just to let some kid have a gun he'll probably not get more than 3 magazines off with.

    The COMMANDER who is ejected, should be sent to the SPAWN QUE. This way those already at base can get to the COMMANDERS chair in case someone IS abusing this right, and those that HAVENT abused it can get back in the chair that round if they are doing a fine job.

    I think being banned because of some chumps with hurt feelings is absolutely ridiculous.

    Yeah, the commander vote thing is lame. The default "commander ban" is 3 hours after a 33% vote! Once I found out about this, I immediately modified my configs to require a 50% vote and a 10 minute ban. Nothing like being banned from the CC on your own server <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    no he is banned till the end of that map, I have had it happen to me. It sucks so bad, when you have a n00b calling a vote because he isn't listening and you won't give him a gun.

    the worst is because some noobs ban you because they don't get the HMG/HA/GL they want even though the lmg is a VERY good gun until they get fades.

    But what alot of people dont realize is that the "manual" isn't all that great, and some people are visual learners. Most of the CC's I've run across are new to the game, and are learning as they go along. This is a new game, and being the CC isn't something you can just pick up and run with. It takes time. The first time I was CC I had all kinds of folks bitching and complaining. It's like when folks request things, they dont realize that ONE, I cannot see their names on my map, TWO I do NOT know the names and locations of every room, so saying you are in THE ROOM WITH THINGS is NOT going to help me out, THREE that there are probably 4 or 5 OTHER people yelling for things, and MOST IMPORTANTLY - they TYPE what they want instead of typing it, and asking for an ORDER in the MENU, and expect you to be able to know where they are.

    It can be a pain sometimes, but consider the ban until the end of the round just the game developers erring on the side of caution.

    lol, i kept asking for ammo and health and eventually the commander says "who the hell am i supposed to know where you are" ...i explained spacebar and all was well untill some idiots came in and booted him
