Shimmerish..
Hmm.. don't know where to start...
but anyways, when i play NS i get like a shimmerish-line over the screen (horizontal).

OS: Windows XP Pro
Graphiccard: ATI Radeon 9600 256mb version 6.14.10.6387
RAM: 1024mb
Processor: AMD Athlon XP 3000+

Maybe it has something to do with my fps?

    Nice rig.

Could you get a screenshot of it? Press F5 in-game when it happens, and then post it here?

Hmm, i tried to take a screen but it won't show on it. And i checked if i had the same problem on CS but i didn't. Damn, it's hard to describe it. It's like when i move or look in a direction the shimmerish shows.

Sounds much like a case of 'tearing'... VSync is your friend.

Actually, you don't want the 'VSync' program.

You want to adjust the settings in Control Panel -> Display -> Settings tab -> Advanced. Then depending on your graphics card, if any, you will see a 'GeForce blah blah blah' tab, or the Radeon equivalent. After clicking on the tab, you should then proceed to look for a 'Vertical Sync' setting and turn it on.

i went on google a little and found this

QUOTE

With Vertical Sync OFF: Look at a wall edge (black on white is best). Now shake your mouse left and right. -You should notice the horizontal lines (clips)

So it is Vsync, but i can't find the option to turn it on? :S

Looks like you have older driver, try this:

    http://www.ati.com/support/drivers/winxp/r...x=11&submit.y=9

If that doesn't work you can try rolling back to older drivers.

Ah, don't you just love it :-)

It was just me beeing stupid... i turned v-sync on in the ati option panel (direct x). But i just figured out yesterday (;D) that i run NS in OpenGL haha. So i just turned v-sync on in OpenGL. I guess i just was to frustrated to come and think of that at the moment or something. So i waited a cuople of days and tried to fix it, and i did by turning v-sync on in OpenGL like i just said.
