<div class="IPBDescription">Fricken hard. Lotsa fun.</div> Anyone tried this game yet? PC Gamer ran a nice review so I decided to pick up the demo. I'm a miserly old kook and haven't spent money in forever, so I doubt I'll actually buy the game, but I can always play the demo and wistfully wish I had more money. I reviewed it for <a href='http://fragfiles.org/page.php?id=49&a=dl' target='_blank'>FragFiles</a> so you can check out what I thought, but I want some opinions from you guys: did ANYONE beat it on the first try? It's crazy hard.

    I have the full game, and it is really rather difficult and a bit on the buggy side (a patch helped a bit though). It is good fun, but I regret paying full price for it, especially after I found it on play.com for almost half what I paid.

    Think "Commandos meets Sudden Strike" and you'll have a decent idea what to expect.

    Edit:

    The addition of a physics engine to that genre is fantastic though, and there are moments when you can't help but cackle with glee about it. For example, I ran out of ammo with an enemy soldier closing in on me fast, so I panicked and dropped a grenade at him (very close to me) and it blew him clean over my head in a graceful arc.

    Also, the Russians have this <i>enormous</i> rifle (it is about 2m long - I do not know what it is) that sends infantry flying when you whack them with it.

    Flipping vehicles over onto infantry is fun too.
