One Problem...

Uncooperative teammates!
Yarrr, I just played a game a bit ago with a completely uncooperative teammate. He REFUSED to change his evolutionary form from Gorge to something else. Our team had 4 gorges, 1 skulk, me being the skulk. Others were cooperative, and soon balanced out the evolutionary species distribution (but two of our gorges were nearly at the resource level to build two new hives). So now we had 3 gorges, 2 skulks pretty much in the first parts of the game. Anyhow, this one individual had a PITIFUL amount of resources, and when we politely asked him to change his form to skulk, he rudely retorted "No, f*ck you, I'm building a hive!"

Hmm...when I queried to his resource levels, he said "40", whereas our OTHER bloody gorges had around 70 and 80. Needless to say, as I played a few more minutes on the server, it was painfully obvious that this guy was not going to change, and was being ULTRA useless (one of our hives came under attack, and he sat in a bloody corner with NOTHING AROUND IT, trapping himself in a ring of bloody offensive towers. *Sigh...*

Sadly this can happen... the most you can hope for is that he will learn that this game isnt like TFC/CS/DoD etc.. you cant be a one man show... you do what is best for the team.

He'll be in for a rude awakening believe me.

Yep, one problem about playing NS is that you have to play with people. Ah, we humans are great to each other, aren't we?

I especially like when you have found a resource node in the beginning of the game, you press tab seeing that nobody are orges and then you change to gorge and wait for resources. After a while another skulk shows up looks at you for a while and then changes to a gorge and simply looks at you. What's the point of that? Then when you set up your resource tower he simply walks away. So instead of protecting you as a skulk securing a node for the swarm he instead manages to slow the building of resource towers all over the map and risk ending up being butchered with me by a lone marine scout.

GAHAHAHA! This actually happened?! The guy most have been new to NS.

Well, the thing about this game is it's either a boom or a bust. AWESOME if you have a good team, CRAP if you have a bad team. But this is by no means the NS teams fault. No, sirrah, no. They are not responsible for the filthy drivel that pass off as equitable human beings nowadays. (I wish I was a Kharaa...)

Yeah, kinda like tonight. 30~ mins in our Gorge said "I have full resources, what do we need?" I replied, "A second hive." This happened a few more times.

A hour later, we still have no second hive. The marines already have heavy armor and HMGs, we had no chance on keeping a hive up. They lasted for 10 minutes due to HA patrols. By that time, the teams were 6-2. My bud and I simultaneously went to the ready room, avoiding another boring hour of cat and mouse. If we could of had hives earlier, we probably would of won. We had them scattered when they were in Light armor. And if we evolved as fast as the marines were upgrading, we would of stood a chance.

Sadly that is the case. With marines...a bad commander...even with a kick **obscenity** team...the marines will probably loss because that one guy is critical...but as a commander even if it's 16 on 16 and I have a host of man power If my men don't do anything...I'm screwed.

Aliens can get by if only 1 or 2 guys on the team don't help but...over all it is critical to have the whole team working together...or thier dead to.

Both teams need to be working together...sometimes one guy can gum up the whole works aother times it takes a whole teams effort. One never knows...isn't that fun?
