I'm french and I made a new video based on natural selection modification for half-life. It weights 253MO and lengths 10'20" named
<b>Naturally Born Selected</b>
It shows the top 5 french ns clans. All demo were from pcw and most of them during the FNSL (french natural selection league <a href='http://france.nsleague.com/)' target='_blank'>http://france.nsleague.com/)</a>
The overall quality is low (all my apologize) but it's my first video. I hope u'll enjoy it.
It's not a simple frag movie, there is also some teamplay actions with free spec mode.
I hope i'll launch a fashion for creating movies based on NS.
I'm also thinking about my next video.

253 is a little steep for a frag movie 320xWhat ever reselution would have been fine.

blackened is a very fast paced.. u should have sped up the vid and changed angles/scenes very often and quickly. should never have used slow motion
the megadeth song, forget the name... just doesn't work.
i have no idea what the third song is, but its the same as with blackened, fast paced song, the ns gameplay isn't quick enough to keep up with the song, speed up the video.
overall, i see u took some time, but take more and learn how to tie the video and music together. music speeds up, so should the video. music slows down, so should video. big dramatic spot in song, switch scene. keep up the work, after a while u will look back at this video and laugh.

+ slomo effects but just one time, thats not enough for a frag movie

0 music (neutral, i didnt really like it)
- You could have added more rare frags imo
- player names are not placed good (upper right, bad font)
- the clanlogos (with the members) should appear a bit longer
Saw the news on nsbe.ns-fr.com, 253 mo is <b>big</b>! 400*300 or something would have been enough. It's not bad for a first video, i think ssjyoda said it all (even if *i* don't like the choice of music, he is right).
There's some good ideas, like filming the same scene from two point of view (the attack on central processing on caged) but too bad the image is stretched like that <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo-->
There's some "hall of mirrors" too. Also, some scenes are very static, it would have been nice if the camera just moved a bit to add atmosphere.
I don't like the opening sequence with the gorge and the marine... the marine and his shottie are wayyy too big and the gorge shattering like that is just.. weird
Overall we can see there is some solid work, and there is a lot of space to improve. I know i sound very critic but i enjoyed the video anyway, and i think/hope it will encourage you to make better.

It was my first video and i learned using codecs and premiere.
The titles really sux I know, next time i'll make them under 3dsmax.
I was'nt helped much for this video, but I hope I will have some more help for the next one.
In concern of spec_mode I can only use the arrow. Then it's really not smooth.
Some more little frags ? not really easy. thus I've to present clans and create a dedicated part for each one. But if I make a single clan video, sure there would be some.

You're asking people to download a 253 mb file at a maximum speed of 90 kb/s. It'd take 50 mins and that's kind of deterring when you are able to download at 500kb/s :/.

FR vs UK demos were never uploaded because the match was never apparently finished (gg amarc's pro rules for the Nations Cup).

you are very much mistaken. It was probably one of the finest displays of strategy and tactics I've seen in a match situation (by the spanish however).
About the FR UK match, actually France left the cup, but it doesn't make much difference as anyway we were the last country who was actually playing matches. As far as I know no country played since our forfeit. Too bad this cup became this... "thing" while the first NationsCup had some of the best matches in 2.01.
i have an advice for u as a video encoder

Load your video in this prog.
-then go under the option VIDEO-> Direct stream copy
-then under AUDIO-> Full processing mode
-then again under AUDIO->compression...
and there select mp3 or mpeg layer 3 and take this compression
96kbits/s, 44100Hz, Stereo
or for more sound quali
128kbits/s, 44100Hz, Stereo
-then FILE-> save as avi
and the video will be around 150 - 180 mb at the end of the encoding
but this is also too large for 10min vid but its small enough in contradiction how large it was before or u rerender the whole video and u could cut it down too 100mb or smaller maybe

Good video I must admit although a little "slow" or repetitive in places but still very well done.
I would like to know how you recorded the commander view as I feel it's probably the one thing that spectating NS needs added (commander's view while spectating/playing demo or on HLTV I mean).
