For All Those People Shooting At Fades

<div class="IPBDescription">A "must read" :D</div> Every day i see people shooting at fades which are slashing the armory or a rt. Usually they shoot a hmg clip into it and do not make any damage. Why is that? you are really shooting the building!! Thinking "i see it i can kill it" isnt good here. Always get close to the fade and shoot from "point blank", thats the only way to kill it. Furthermore, when shooting at a fade killing an rt shoot his legs- aim between the "legs" of the rt and its middle.
Another thing - on siege maps with long corridors, dont shoot at fades which are on the other side of the corridor. You dont make any significiant damage to it, you loose your ammo, and make it easier an onos to eat you, while realoding the hmg.
Any comments?

When a fade is hitting the armory (crouched, of course), his head is exposed, and many players think that if they shoot the head, they can hurt the fade.
With a crouched fade, half of its hitbox is <i>under the floor</i>. That means shooting the upper half of the fade <i>does not hurt it</i>. Thats why you should make it a rule of thumb to always shoot a fade's legs (as previously suggested), crouched or not crouched.
Without crouching, you may shoot a fade's head and it will register, though.
Heres to hoping its fixed in the next build.

EDIT: I would like to point out that this program doesn't acurately represent playable model hitboxes.
And I am unsure whether the hitboxes for building are correct or not, but I assume they are.
btw another thing cl_lw 1 doesnt make you shoot the hmg more accuratly. (that to borris)

I fail to see why anyone would need a script to duck. Just hold the key. Also, it is impossible to create a script that automatically ducks while blinking.
In any case, only an inexperienced Fade would duck constantly while blinking. A standing Fade has much better aerial control than a crouching Fade.
Group up and use team work.
When the fade comes into attack, get one person to run to the exit so he blocks the fade when he tries to run as he know he is losing HP. this will give you that extra time to shoot him to kill him. Also works with Onos lol who panic.

Here is the almighty solution to the Fade problem - Level 3 Shotgun + Pointblank + Aiming @ Waist = 0wned Fade

Like previous people have wrote, aim for the waist, it seems to be where the big hitbox is on the Fade and where it takes the most damage.
It didn't matter. Acid rocket compensated for the jp ****.
This is also the reason why fades are so hard to shoot when hiding behind marine structures. The armory hitbox is not a cylinder like like it appears to be, but actually a box. And not only is a fade hitbox smaller then its actual model, but it gets even smaller when its ducking. So, you have something with a hitbox much smaller then it looks, ducking behind something with a hitbox much larger than it looks. These two things combined are why its possible to duck-straff-attack around a marine stucture as a fade and avoid most damage.

2 very easy ways to stay ducked, either just hold your duck key, or go into console and +duck, no scripts involved.
