<div class="IPBDescription">Questing to find why its good</div> So like, i spawn up with a Skulk, and then upgrade to something else e.g. Lerk or <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tiny.gif'><!--endemo-->

then i go into my upgrades menu, Movement, done; Defence, done; then i see the sensory list and wonder why Scent of Fear would be useful if all it does is tell you if an enemy is damaged. I don't personally know what it does, but still, id like to know if anyone wants to spend the time on me.

It basically just lets you see the health of marines on your HUD. Its useful if you want to pick out the weakest one to go after first to quickly reduce numbers in a group, or personally I like seeing them try and run backwards knowing they have ~10hp... almost like you can smell their fear.

It might be good at some ocations but id rather go with cloaking or advanced hive sight. Cloaking is offcourse the first choise if you have 3 sensorychambers, but if you have less than three senschambers adv. hive sight could be just as good. Especialy on darks areas on the map where it is easy to loose sight of the marines in close combat.

Actually I prefer scent of fear. Just look at the choices:

    - Cloaking: Only if you camp, and skulks can camp on ceilings without this ability.
    - Enhanced Sight: I have never picked this ability, I see fine enough thank you. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
    - Scent of Fear: With this one you can hunt damaged marines from far away, often giving you a better hint of where the enemy is. And I especially like the hunting ability you get from this one. You know where there is a weakened, easy prey, and now you are hunting him. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

it lets you see injured marines through walls... its fun to bite them and run away, seeing the blip run back and forth in panic...

Scent of Fear is a great "cleanup" evolution. If you *know* you're hunting marines that have taken damage and aren't getting any health (for instance, if the CC has been destroyed), it's like an instant short-range parasite. Get within 50 or so meters of an injured marine, and suddenly you know exactly where he is. Very nice.

Combine this with the Lerk's damaging cloud (weapon 4) for an excellent way to track the current position of marines.

Scent of Fear isn't bad at all. I usually take cloaking through, as it's a handy tool for avoiding getting ganked by passing marines. You're somewhat invisible in a dark room with that.
