Making Decals Stay.

Ok, today i was searching for stuff in the forums and came across this post....

Look at the 8th post down. How can you make the decals stay like that? When you put the decal limit up in the options menu it puts it back down to 4000 something by itself.
Anyone know how to do this?

i never see blood from past battles on the ground so that means he found a way to make them stay, and i assume that means doing something besides turning the decal limit all the way up.
i mean how else could you get a place to look like that picture(8th post down)?
i want my maps too look like theres been battles!
Put it into console (or execute it via cfg. file), then you can have your slaughterhouse.

You didn't do something right. They shouldn't go away like that.
It wouldn't affect ping, but slower computers would begin to loose framerates.

hehe notice that the entire team shown is HA, and that is a few seconds before i was HA, and everyone had hmgs. by the end of the game, we had met that limit of 4096 decals because i started seeing them disapear. there was 1 guy that wasnt HA and he was gl/jp. everyone else was HA/hmg.
I just noticed when im playing and theres a whole ton of alien blood on a wall(from shooting an rt or something) and i go right up to it my fps drops to very low. WTH?

indeed. that is what i was referring to when i posted that picture.
