Starting July 26th, the shutdown of the WON authentication servers will begin. This process will be completed on July 31st. This means players will no longer be able to access Internet features of Valve games, such as Counter-Strike 1.5, using the WON authentication servers. Users can continue using Valve games on the Steam service by downloading the Steam installer and setting up a Steam account. For more information visit www.steampowered.com. Counter-Strike 1.5 players will be upgraded to Counter-Strike 1.6 free of charge through Steam.

....this is horrible. I hate you valve. I'm losing the first server I ever played on, and still play on to this day (2.01). <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Another smooth move by Valve.
Maybe 1.04 and 2.01 can live on that way...
GC & co. are not connected to Valve and will thus not be affected.
Me, I have to say that I won't even notice. Goodbye, WON, it was a nice time. Hello, Steam.
WON is still alive. WON HL, however, is going.
Ah well. No tears fro me. Byebye WON.
WON was a bug filled, crap interface where I absolutely HATED pressing escape because I had to deal with the dozens of bugs that would start up then.
Long Live Steam.
