Only problem, is I don't know how to officaly register it! And I use my brother's Steam ID because it is the only one I can use, so I can use his e-mail address for the Steam ID.....so what do I do? HELP!!!

    Well, it's too late to register for CAL. Going into last week before playoffs. But you can start scrimming and get ready for next season. Get irc (if you don't already have it), get on gamesurge.net, get your clan an irc channel, then go to #findnsscrim and just say you want to scrim or answer another post of wanting to scrim. But be ready to lose, just don't lose heart. Takes awhile to get the hang of scrims and start winning some. Everyone scrimming there now usually has been for awhile.
    Ask the team you scrim for advice after.
    Also might be a good idea to get a ventrillo server. If you can't afford one, there are a few clans that will set you up a channel to use. Ask in irc who may be able to help you out. If no clan will host you, pm me in #sphere-ns and I can hook you up with one on ours for scrims and/or matches.

    There is no one Big Book of Clans to register in. CAL is a league thing, so is not compulsory or anything, esp as you are just starting out. ClanBase is another Clan-reg site that you may want to register at.

    You CERTAINLY need a website; whether it's Geocities/freewebz or a proper hosting, all clans need a web presence.

    IRC channel is, of course, essential. Gamesurge or Quakenet.

    Also make sure you THOROUGHLY search the net for your tag; it's a disaster if you find out you've been using a respected clan's tag months after you chose it...

    Ah yeah, there was a site, whose URL I forget, which hosts "The Clan Leader's Bible", I found it a good read. Search it, may be useful.

    Thanks.....though I dont have mIRC, and I cant get it until I get a new computer. (Using a "borrowed" one now, just because.) I do have jIRC which is a chatroom...
    I'lll try the websites you gave me.....maybe it will work, i dunno. Thanks anyway....maybe jIRC will work

    Just to add to this, quakenet is for euros, gamesurge is for americans. So if you are wanting to find local scrims (on your continent) choose the appropriate server. And yea, i think jIRC should work fine.

    ps...there are lots of clans with no website. Some big names too.

    exigent, and moment of impact. The highest ranked team in each division in CAL. Neither have a functioning website. All competitive ns activity happens over irc, vent and a few sets of forums like here, CAL and ampednews.

    Three months ago, we had a real website, but it was shoe's space which was maintained by frog ( i think ), both guys are no longer in exigent.
