virus . . .evil . . .virus . . .
My little brother. He had a bunch of friends over. They got on AIM. Then, I sat down to play, started talkign to someone, and BOOM. it says "download this blah blah.. .. .." (numbers changed to protect the innocent). I tell them "Dont click it!!!" I then start seeing this error ""Windows socket error. 9100480, on API 'bind'". Obviously, my idiot brother got this message from a friend and clicked it, then didn't tell me about it. I have NO anti-virus software, and I need help. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

There is free anti-virus software on the internet and there are the good anti virus ones, like Norton Anti Virus.

I can't point you to any good prices for ones or a good place to download a free one.

Just go to Google and search for one.

Hope you can find a good one.

    Sorry I can't help anymore...

Bah, Viruses don't really exist. They are like bed bugs and things like that. First thing I do when I get a new computer is uninstall the anti-virus software. I have never had a problem.

Use Housecall, its the bestest antivirus software ever, and 100% free (web-based). It picks up crap McAfee and Norton do not, and is updated pretty much daily :P
