Yeah, the only way I could see the teams being balanced is if alien offense towers were as strong as the marines, the marines got less resource points, and its not stupid hard to get three hives up.
I mean, just now I joined a game where there were four/five marines, four/five aliens, and the aliens already had two Onos. After building up insane amounts of defense everywhere(which was really easy), we soon killed off the first hive, and by that time all the aliens had quit because of the damn impossibility of having a CHANCE at winning.
That's another problem:if you go into a 24 person game, it will be 15 marines versus 9 aliens. Hell, the aliens are **obscenity** altogether unless the teams are at least even, and even then its hard. I am, of course, not referring to players that are saying "Hey, I used a lone Skulk to take out 50 sentries and 10 marines wearing heavy armor!" Common players are easily better at marines because its the same thing they've been doing in an FPS for years. The aliens take some getting used to, and their less powerful, and they can only get the good aliens/skills a ways into the game, so, Jesus. I've only seen aliens win once, and that was because my incompetent friend was commander and **obscenity** us up hard.
Hmm, I just wanted to say that for what its worth, Babbler and Bile Bomb aren't that extremely good for a 3-hive ability. Spore cloud:30 dmg per second, can fire off 2-3,more with adren(any good Lerk has it)=Great room clearer/base offense weapon. Xenocide is decent, but delay is kind of long. Primal scream is great with smart teammates. What I'm saying is 3 hives is most often, very hard to get. If you're a Fade, you want more than a 40 damage vs player attack and a ....WHOPPING 80 vs buildings. Which is another point: I think the aliens kinda got shafted in the base destruction area.

I know why no playtesters or anyone has responded to this topic, its because its the same complaint that EVERYONE ELSE ALREADY HAD. And you seem to ignore the upcoming patch changes. Aliens get big boosts, marines get hit, fixed resources(i.e. not a million turrets). So shut up already. It DOES cost resources to defend a base. You can't defend against fades with light machine guns and base armor. turrets cost RS. weapons/armor upgrades cost RS. So marines can't just sit in their base and save until they all have HA and HMG, at least not against aliens with ANY skill at all.
I did play as marines for the first time today, and maybe it was because we were already backed into a corner when I joined, but it was very hard to get enough resources for enough HAs to stand up against a whole team of Onos/lerks.
