Old Ns Or New Ns? Your Choice?

BAsically which NS do you prefer
NS 2.0 or 3.0
- i havent tried the new NS yet, ive been away from the scene for a while
Persoanly i think the NS team have done a CS and made the game crap. 2.0 was class, people loved it, i stoppped playing CS to play NS as it was soo much etter and more fun than CS. the only prob with NS 2.0 was that marines had a big advantage over skulks at the start of game imo so i fort they neede to make skulk more powerful
when 2.0 came out, ppl loved the changes, thought they were great - goin on about all the changes on the in game communication.
now the game looks terrible and feels terrible, everyone plays combat and the game doesnt have the same fun, commmunity feel as it once did - mostly due to steam
bring out 2.0 again!
what do you think was the best NS

2.0 was great. 3.0 in current beta is just wrong.
I have forgotten co exists in all honesty so I'm not to fussed about that, just filter the servers. But yeah, 2.0 all the way. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->
The game is much more polished right now, it's just lacking some of the atmosphere the older versions had.

With 2.0 - dunno about you guys but i used to have my server favourites, where youd go on, see some familiar faces and stay on the game maybe all night ! now the game just lacks any fun like that, the maps feel too big for any sort of 'fun' team work as your all so spread out - liek the other dued said also, the maps are darker and dont seem as nice
i hope in a new NS they will make it more like 2.0 anywa
have many ppl quit NS since 3.0? :s
2.01 was the most balance out of the all the versions, it was awesome. 1.04 aliens was just a challenge to stop the marines rushes.

praise is useless and empty, -feedback- is useful.
It makes sense if you think about it for a moment.
Skulking was best in 1.04
Fades are fun in 1.04, but easier 2+
Onos was HILARIOUS end-game weapon in ns1, now it's HMG fodder
Gorge was a no-go in 1.04, as if you did badly you were blamed far more than the commander. In ns 3, it's any gorge for himself. (EVEN if he bulids SC first.)
Lerk has changed so much in so many builds it's hard to say. It's a devil to play now as the hitbox is fixed, so skills are needed to fly well to conserver energy and avoid bullets.
Overal gameplay was best in 2, as has been said, nice feel to it.
Teamwork is promoted best in new version, (squads, experience-sharing training in CO, etc) so that's what matters most.

Mediocre Fades in 2.01 were as impossible to stop as a good HMG/JP rush in 1.04...
In 3.0 too much reliance on alien RT's causes alien RT's to be worth too much and if destroyed early can usually spell D-O-O-M for aliens..
Hopefully (since we both PT) we can work on these issues and make sure the next release is more fun, more atmospheric and more balanced...
