Now I have.... THE latest version of THE NS... I think im gonna downgrade NS, because the game wont work ANYMORE!!! AAAGHH!! I hate when it happens to me!! It starts loading a map....and when the playing screen starts to appear, it f****g crashes!!! And oh yeah....cant change any video modes either...cause I tried the 3D mode....it was worse than OpenGL....and Software doesnt work....just great...

Does the game crash with an error? What updates did you install in what order and to what directories? Do you really mean you "cant change video modes", or does it just look bad when you do change them?
You probably didn't install ns correctly. Reinstall it. For an average steam install, the default folders should do. If not, point at the fodler the installer asks you. If it still crashes, reinstall steam with the small installer.
I'm afraid to say this but it seems that you have not installed the newest version. There ain't any pheromones in the game... And AFAIK you cannot play the newest NS without Steam. <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif' /><!--endemo-->
maybe u downloaded a messed up version, i think that someone could edit the files, post it for DL, and have it mess up someones comp and stuff not like a virus
