<div class="IPBDescription">Where NOT to put a phase gate</div> Heres a handy hint. today in umm... erm.. caged i think??? our commander put a phase gate under a fallen piller.     I hate phase gates. They cause many deaths and their dynamic lighting they emit absolutely kills my video card.

    I hate em!!

    But when you do put them in, make sure you put them in a non-central place. Put it in a corner so people don't accidentally walk into them.

    They should also never be built right next to respawn portals and the command center. Today I was playing a game where the aliens captured one of the portals, and managed to teleport in several xenociding skulks, followed by a fade and an onos. Instant base destruction.

    I know Kharaa can use Marine phase gates.... can Marines use Alien Movement towers? Never tried since I'm always playing the Aliens.

    Heres a helpful tip to every commander put turrets around your phase gates you never know when a onos will pop up from one and destroy your base.     yea another thing wit phase gates... yesterday the marines placed one under a vent then surrounded it by turrets... so we just dropped down from the vent and went straight into their base!! stupid stupid... also it was fun to build offensive turrets, watch them drop down then dissapear throught the phase gate.. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
