Started work on a Morita as a replacement for the HMG. About 1/2 done now. It's currently 328 polies. Maybe around 700 when I've finished this version. I will probably make it up to 1000 polies or so by adding in more detail where I see fit.
I've modified it to have only one trigger whilst keeping the cooler looking front part. I won't include the pump part for the RPG as it won't be on the model as it's for the HMG. The only other difference should be a slightly larger clip so it's more believeable that there's 125 rounds in there.
Thanks for finding the references for it, I was having trouble finding anything useable myself.
Ok, it's now modelled in a basic form. Only 491 polies at the moment. I plan on adding detail and rounding corners so expect that to get to around 1000.

Have some patience for god's sake. Models are not made overnight, they take time to do at anything near a good standard. There's also this annoy thing called life which delays model making. Sheesh.

I already collected sounds and model replacements for a SST Pack. The Hive will be replaced by a giant brain bug and as soon as I can continue my work I will upload it at natural-selection.at
Schimmel i <3 you sir <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->!!!!!!!!
if you are to do the Hive as the Brain Bug it really can't walk so have those little cockroach bugs holding it up that carry it around in the movie also for onos use the Flame-Thrower Bug gorge use the bomber ones that bombed the battlecrusiers and trashed the transport ships so the Marines couldn't land the ones with the Huges Thoraxes that shot the blue stuff our lerk yeah the green flyer bugs fade you gonna have to make up one
No no no, you guys gotta make it true to the movie. Trust me, this has been on my mind for a while.
Okay. I'm all about the alien side, I don't care about the marines.
ALIENS:
Gorge - Carrier bug (flat top carrier bug that carries in the brain bug) Why? With the Brainbug as the hive, the gorge (carrier bug) will be the one going back and forth healing the brainbug, and building for it. So it fits.
Skulk - Small warrior bug. Why? Its already out, and it fits as a matching enemy, hard to hit, but easy to kill.
Fade - Large warrior bug. Why? The fade may have a tall hit box, but just like the movie, you will have to aim at the middle section to register hits anyways, cuz thats where the nervestem of an arachnid warrior is located.
Lerk - Green Hopper bug. Why? This ones obviously fitting, and it wont be hard to recolor the skin we have of the bug to green then add wings.
Onos - Tanker bug. Why? Because, I dont know why, but everyone wants the brainbug as onos, but that makes no sense whatsoever because the main point of he brainbug is that it DOESNT FIGHT, and never even sees combat situations. Psh, the brainbug isnt a freaking tank, like the onos, while the Tanker beatle bug is exactly that.
Hive - Brainbug Why? As stated before, the brainbug is the core of the aliens, so it is deep in the alien territory, and vulnerable. So the brainbug should be the hive. Since the hive is hanging from the ceiling, the brainbug could be suspended, hanging from gross veins or tentacles thats holding it up, almost like its sleeping on a bunch of strings.
I think those are the best ways to match up SST to NS.
im to dumb to learn how to model :*( <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd--> as for that, i used to say that, then i got depressed in the fact that i couldn't....so i learned and concidering i haev lots of wasted polies in my models, even though i do im a begginner still, so im fine with it, but its actually not too hard, find a tut and your on your way! GL with ya!
I did a warrior bug for the onos <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Now I need to get all the credits together <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I know that I used the AvP high-poly marine as a base... and I used the head of some CS model... I also used that "bomb backpack" to fix a hole on the rine's back <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
for the JP I used Jaeger's JP as a base (<span style='color:red'><3</span>) but replaced the middlepart (=> old NS JP) with the SC marine JP... I also removed the "wings"...
uh... and last... canteen and holster... mhm... was from that TS trooper by Selbstmord iirc (<span style='color:red'><3</span>)
hope that was all 0_O
oh btw.... PC is 994... and 1202 with JP <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

However the base model I used was DarkB5's. He's AWOL, but the model is floating around somewhere.
I've modified it to have only one trigger whilst keeping the cooler looking front part. I won't include the pump part for the RPG as it won't be on the model as it's for the HMG. The only other difference should be a slightly larger clip so it's more believeable that there's 125 rounds in there.
