<div class="IPBDescription">anti-steam</div> There was a time when i was able to download and install NS and play it via normal hlv1xxx and csv1.5 (basically the old original ns) - well i would like to do that again; only all i can find is newer updated versions, where steam is required. Steam sucks, i don't use it and never will, where can i get the older original version for me and my other anti-steam users to play?

    If you're so opposed to steam, you don't deserve to play NS.

    But you can copy your nsp folder to an HL install, if you're that gung-ho about avoiding the future.

    With the new steam verisons and so, steam is getting better and less problems. Only thing I hate is the fonts look ugly.

    well. if u will never use steam.. u wont be playin hl or any hl mod within the next year seein as won will most likely be down when hl2 comes out.

    only problem steam has is friends list, everything else is great... everyone was against it when it first started.. tryed it out. and grown to love it. same with me.

    First of all, welcome to the forums, second, search for Natural selection 1.04 and try it.

    Finally, steam isn't as bad as it looks. Okay, sometimes it does screw up, but so did WON too. The newer version are getting better and better and contain less bugs and after the pain of installing and updating, you'll kiss that old WON system goodbye.

    Besides, Valve is gonna pull the plug of WON somewhere in the future(most likely hl² release).
