<div class="IPBDescription">RELEASE</div> AREN'T CAPS OBNOXIOUS?
Ahem. After many months of toil and struggle, Nova is in an acceptable state for public consumption.
<a href='http://nsworld.ns-central.co.uk/Map.php?UniqueID=467' target='_blank'>Pics and download at NS World!</a>
I'm just glad to get it out the proverbial door, as many of you will know working on a certain project for an excessive amount of time becomes stale, and the lessons you learn throughout aren't reflected in the final product. It was an eye-opening, often frustrating experience, but I'm glad I did it so my future work can be oh-so-much better. Roll on HL2 I say!
Also: Delarosa, or who else is organising map tests for the next NS beta, is it too late for consideration?
<b>EDIT</b>: Due to -wadinclude completely failing on me, I've had to add co_nova.wad in a repackaged .zip. Sorry for the inconvience if you've already downloaded it, but trust me it's worth it (I hope)!

Tell me about it, but, you know, exams and other real life activities don't help <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I want my name in the credits..or nervous-Breakdown..here we come.
Leaving the humour at the doorstep (to socialise with the milk bottles) This map has a great feeling to it, and a very unique compact, pressure-applied atmosphere that fuels the paranoid state to almost climactic levels.
Entertainment Value, looks-wise, and the VHE coggs that produce such a piece all need a salute.
If ever a map wanted to go official, this gem has the quality to back up the generated status.
Gentlemen, its time.
Nova is upon us.

Good man.
Freeman has finally kield over, and with his final sigh, the virus coils around his body like that of an Octopus round an old chest.
Im babbling.
And how. But I still love the support <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Thanks <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->. I've talked to a playtester or two, and hopefully co_nova will be included in this weeks or next weeks official playtesting. Fingers crossed.
1. Is that blood on the walls in shower room? Cause if it is I think we need some kind of explanation for it. The walls remind me of alien3 (the movie), not that it seriously means anything bad.. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->
2. The ladders, in the place near the big doors, were pretty buggy. I could climb them almost up, but not to the catwalk.
3. There were also some spots, in the room with big doors in both sides, that I couldn't walk through. Might be pretty annoying to get blocked by one of these spots when fighting with an alien. Happened to notice them when I was walking in that room. I dunno if it was only the cable on the floor that blocked me.. :/

1. No, it's just a pretty pattern. And yeah, I was inspired by Alien 3 too <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->.
2. This is a HL engine bug, you have to crouch at the top to get over. I've tried to fix this various times but to no avail.
3. You'll have been getting stuck on the central rail. However, in the interest of gameplay flow, I'll be clipping it so you can simply walk over in the next update.
Also coming up in the next update are more Onos-friendly room transitions and a reduction of the high r_speeds that plague some specific places.
Goddamn! I told you to keep that quiet until version 3!
Keep it up man, It paid off.

Appreciated. I'll start work on the next version after my exams finish on Monday.
however, i did get lost a few times, and if you wanted to boost the atmosphere you could do with adding more crew quater bedroom thingies, having just one isloated one doesn't work

It only services a skeleton crew, this part of the facility is abandoned largely <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->. The crew quarters may be changing in the next version anyhow, I'll see what I can do <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Regardless:
<i>COURAGE IS THE THING THAT KEEPS US FREEEE!!</i>
Sigh. Try reading the thread before you comment on bugs. You crouch as you climb and then it works fine. This is not a result of my poor mapping, this is a HL engine bug. I will do my best to fix it for Version 2, but no promises.
Merci <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--> Seriously, Version 2 should be a lot better if all goes to plan. The naughty r_speeds in places will probably stop my map from going official if I don't nip them in the bud, and last night I worked out how I was going to do just that.
