    People have just forgoten how to play NS, thats why. Only way to bring it back to that way of play is in the suggestion forums.

    Forgotten? Onoses were originally designed to be tanks. Our earliest memories of Onos come from 1.0 when they were, that's right, <u>tanks</u>. They were given the power to charge marine bases and devastate them to end the game when aliens reach hive 3. This new playing style in which the huge tank class runs away scared from an HMG unless it's 10 feet from the corner is pretty much new to 3.0. You're the one who seems to have forgotten how NS was played.

    Onoses were never made to be stealthy. They're impossible to miss even when they're cloaked, and they constantly emit loud noises as they run around. We all know that Onoses <i>have to</i> be played like cowards, but that doesn't mean they're <i>supposed to</i> be. Don't try to tell us how to play an Onos, we know very well what the deal is with them. We're trying to get them changed from that.

    I too remember the days when Onos meant gg, and while that's probably a little overpowered for today, Onos still don't strike fear into the hearts of anyone anymore. I still remember the time on Hera where we all got Onos and Primal Roared through the walls at the Marines, and we then marched around and into their base and razed it down like it was made of toothpicks. Still, I do know that Onos should not have to be cowards, and should not be stealthy. Perhaps Umbra should be unnerfed and some sort of bonus should be established between Onos and Lerks, like they move a little faster while together or something? Just something to encourage Lerks to stick around Onos in pubs.

    Except Umbra only blocks 1 out of every 2 bullets. This means the Onos can't last as long as they used to.

    Umbra is so-so for Onoses and pretty much gimped for any other species. If it's going to be this weak then it needs to be easier to take advantage of, either with increased size or a lingering umbra effect for a short time after leaving the cloud.

    One onos should never be able to take down a pack of Marines head on, that would over kill this game, thankfully there are people above that know what they are doing to a degree.

    Multiple Onos's, simple they do own, but people think that having an Onos, is to be a Tank and wipe out 4+ marines in one attack with one onos, good balance guys, think about it, you want an Onos to basically own all things, then you have multiple onos's that can own all things, gee wonder what that would do for the game.

    They were nerfed because they were owning, now people complain as they arnt strong enuff, they are strong enuff, just learn how to play them. The onos as it is still owns mutiple marines.

    I mean think of it, there is no way a Marine can kill the top Alien in one hit, but the top Alien can eat a HA in one second, then charge down the rest...

    If this was an issue, there would be more posts on this subject, and there doesnt seem to be many at all.

    Onos is great the way it is, hmm, why not make it own better than a fade? give it blink...

    Aliens have it so easy with all the traits they get as it is.

    Man , do you have ever played as aliens ? Onos is soo weak I could wine about that !
    Just get 1 JP / SG at about 40 res and you can kill onos just 4 fun. Same thing with Onos against 2 HA/HMG's .. 1 Clip of HMG lvl 3 and the onos is down.. pfff !
    Just compare the res which are used.. Onos 75 + UPS = 83. Marines HA 20*2 + HMG 15*2 = 70 while weapon lvl 3 and armor lvl 3 is nearly for free ( if you think about the whole game .. 100 deaths at rine side and at aliens side, aliens have to up every time.. rines not. ) and hmg is usable by other players after death.... pffff.
    Also the devour isn't a 100 % chance to eat a rine.. ever heard of miss ? then you need 1 to 3 seconds to try the next devour.. again missed ? then your already dead.

    Onos is meant to be a TANK ... or why do you think is it so big <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo-->
    All time if I try to use Onos with stealth or something else all ppl begin crying " onos camper omg .. rush man" , or " onos and stealth how lame".

    I play game how its meant to be played, if someone calls me a camper, so be it, least I didnt die lols.

    Maybe Onos in normal NS needs tweaking, but in CO its a totally different story, onos early in game, its usually game over, seeing onos in a co game 2.30 seconds into it is absurd, its power and str are no match for early marines, even 3-4 minute onos's own.

    I just sit back like most people and wonder what they will do with issues like that in CO, then when they do kill it, theres no reward, hardly any xp, and its back 15 seconds later....

    I see poeple in CO continually not picking any early skills, as to save up for an Onos, or Fade, as they still own with no skills, thus getting them the skills very quick. Like a Fafe in one minut of Game Play, game killer.

    But , like I said, its probably best to separate the two mods in this topic, as you do have a point, little tweak may help him.

    simply put.

    have a different set of "rules" (alien hp/ar skills stuff) for NS Classic and NS Combat.

    That would require some work on the part of the devs but should it be possible and workable, i believe it would be much more easier for future balances in <u>both</u> NS Classic and NS Combat.

    Just my 2cents. (My thoughts come cheap, anyone thinking of purchasing any? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> )
