Xsi And Lower Resolutions

<div class="IPBDescription">How to make it lower?</div> Well recently I went to install XSI on a friend's computer and help him learn how to use it when I found out his max resolution is 1024 x 768! I've heard talk on these forums about people being able to lower XSI's minimum resolution, and I'm just wondering how. Thanks.

I take it u'r having problems such that the panels aren't being displayed?

What graphics card are u using and Monitor?

I'll look into it once I get good ol XSI back onto me Comp.

No no, I know what is causing the problem. His monitor is a 15" so his max resolution is 1024 x 768, while XSI requires 1280 x 1024. I can reach this resolution because my monitor is a 17". I've heard it is possible to change the maximum resolution XSI requires to a lower value, and I was wondering how.

First bet would be preferences in the File -> User Prefs menu.

I've only ever had it working once...when u first start it up and it warns you. After that u lose all the panels.

I hate XSI because I have to shift my toolbar to use it (I use the toolbar on the right side).

Put the toolbar on Auto Hide
